My Philosophy of Digital Learning

Many people may question whether Digital Learning is more beneficial than the traditional way. Digital learning is an essential tool that helps many students break down barriers when it comes to education. Technology helps build a wider connection between people and is a flexible tool.

I believe in the importance of maintaining the traditional ways of learning, but at the same time, making sure teachers are not afraid to evolve with technology as it continues to grow. Digital Learning can help students be engaged in areas or subjects that they may be mostly weak at. Teachers can use digital learning to connect with the students pertaining to their personal needs or interests.

In my future endeavor as an educator, I would like to connect with my students both ways. I would like to teach them the importance of hands-on learning and to master technology while limiting screen time. The benefits students may have with digital learning is that they can continue to learn in different types of environments, not just at school. Also, keeping in mind that not many students are as fortunate and have access to online technology, I would love to somehow contribute and assist those who do not. I would like to also incorporate fun technology activities to keep my students engaged. I want my students to look forward to learning through digital platforms as much as hands on activities. The greatness about online digital learning tools is that this can assist students with disabilities in many different ways pertaining to their needs.

Something to keep in mind is that digital technology is a great resource to spread knowledge around the world. Teachers can also pass on many great tools through different digital platforms as they share their knowledge. It is a great way to also work together as a team to explore different learning styles or techniques that better assist certain students.

Let’s make education a unity between teaching and learning! We as educators continue to learn to expand our knowledge and skills to become great role models for our students!
